Jeffrey Gitt, DO

Dr. Jeffrey S. Gitt hails from Detroit, Michigan. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Zoology. He obtained his medical training at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, in Pomona, California, graduating in 1983. He completed his Internship at Phoenix General Hospital in 1984. Dr Gitt finished his residency in Neurology at Georgetown University Medical Center from 1984-1987, also serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Gitt then relocated to the Phoenix area in 1987, and has been in private practice in the Phoenix area for the last 33 years.
Dr. Gitt is board certified in Neurology by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, in Sleep Medicine by The American Board of Sleep Medicine, and is a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist, by the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers. Dr. Gitt is one of the founders of HOPE Research Institute which is a successful multi-specialty clinical research organization. Dr. Gitt has been a Principal Investigator in over 120 clinical drug trials. Currently he has ongoing clinical drug trials in the areas of Alzheimer’s disease, Migraine, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and others. He is in private practice with offices in Phoenix and Sun City. Dr. Gitt is married to his wife Ellen for 40 years, and has twin 33 year old girls, as well as a 28 year old son. He is an avid hockey player, and enjoys playing guitar in his free time. Dr. Gitt recently received the “Top Doc” award for 2011, 2014, 2015 and for 2017, an award received by a vote of his peers.
